Building on the success of our initial phase, which saw hundreds of creative and groundbreaking ideas, we’re excited to offer even more opportunities for developers to innovate and bring their voice applications to life using OpenHome’s SDK.
Receive up to $50,000 for compelling Voice AI applications, such as talking smart speakers, toys, and even appliances.
Grant Steps:
Prepare Your Application: Ensure your project proposal is well-defined, highlighting its innovation, impact, and technical feasibility.
Submit Your Application: Visit our application page here to submit your project proposal before the deadline.
Join Our Community: Join and engage with our community of developers on Discord. Share your ideas, get feedback, and find support as you develop your project. Applicants who engage in our Discord and participate in our community are more likely to be considered.

How to Apply
Visit the OpenHome Grant Application Page: Access the application form and detailed instructions, here.
Complete the Application Form: Provide all required information, including your project proposal, team details, and how your application leverages the OpenHome SDK.
Submit Your Application: Ensure your application is complete and submitted. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Approval Criteria
Community Engagement: Applicants who actively participate in our Discord community, share ideas, and engage in discussions are more likely to be considered.
Previous Projects: Examples of previous projects demonstrating your capability to deliver innovative and impactful solutions will strengthen your application.
Ability to Work Independently: Demonstrating your ability to work independently and meet project milestones will be a key consideration in the approval process.
What to Expect
Selected applicants will receive the following support to help bring their projects to life:
Funding: Up to $50,000 in grant money to support your project development.
Development Kits: Accepted applications will receive $100 to purchase a Dev Kit (Raspberry Pi kit + microphone + speaker).
Community Engagement: Access to our Discord community for support, feedback, and collaboration with other developers.
AWS Credits: Up to $15,000 in AWS credits to help you leverage cloud services for your project.
Project Milestones:
Community Development: Submit a Github repo, engage in community discussions, and provide project updates.
Completed Demo: Submit a demo of a working prototype and open-source code.
Live Integration: Successful integration of your project into the core OpenHome system through code review and testing.
