The team behind Samantha Morning Routine consists of Alton Sun and Sofia Isabella Mendez. They are two developers based out of the Bay Area.
About the Project
Affirmations and guided meditations are some of the most popular mindfulness tools, with meditation apps and motivational videos springing up. However, they are not personalized and dynamic, and rarely can you talk back to them in real-time to adjust their function. Developers Alton Sun and Sofia Isabella Mendez used the dynamic nature of OpenHome to program a useful and delightful voice-guided experience.
Design
Samantha Morning Routine gently guides you through with a series of guided prompts and timed exercises:
Breathwork: The chatbot personalizes your wake-up experience through a series of timed exercises, beginning with breathwork.
Intention-Setting: the chatbot prompts you to set your intentions for the day. Unlike traditional alarms that jar you awake, this conversation feels like a gentle nudge towards self-reflection. The chatbot asks open-ended questions that encourage you to think about what you wish to achieve, how you want to feel, and the steps you’ll take to make those desires a reality.
Affirmations: To fortify your mindset, the chatbot then leads you through a series of affirmations. Drawing from a vast library of positive statements, it selects affirmations that align with your set intentions.
